The purposes of Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings are to prevent and combat trafficking in human beings, while guaranteeing gender equality, to protect the human rights of the victims of trafficking, design a comprehensive framework for the protection and assistance of victims and witnesses, while guaranteeing gender equality, as well as to ensure effective investigation and prosecution, to promote international cooperation on action against trafficking in human beings.

injured party or a witness;
- Protection and information from the
shelves, the prosecutor’s office, and
the judiciary about your rights and
obligations, which is noted in writing;
- Information about your rights in judicial
proceedings;
- Right to a period for decision-making;
- Right to seek compensation for inflicted
injuries;
- Right to a guardian if you are a child victim;
- Right to an interpreter if you are a
foreigner and you do not understand
the language;
- Right to a temporary residence permit;
- Right to seek asylum;
- Right to privacy and safety;
- Other rights aimed to ensure yours
mental and physical well-being.
